Passionate about growth in every area of life, Hobbs is an avid weight lifter and book reader. Professionally, he has been recognized as dynamic leader. Hobbs holds four degrees including a master's in sport coaching from the United States Sports Academy and earned doctorate from Liberty University in educational leadership. He's also earned 'certified master athletic administrator' status from the NIAAA and 'certified organizational leader' status from Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. He is a frequent guest on podcasts discussing leadership and coaching and he his perspectives on those same topics have been published in journals, magazines, and booksIn 2018, Coach and AD magazine named him one of the top 40 leaders in the sports industry under the age of 40. One year later, BSN Sports awarded Hobbs the National High School Athletic Director of the Year for his efforts at The King's Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Hobbs had an extensive basketball playing and coaching career. He earned NCCAA First-Team All-American recognition in college while scoring over 1500 points at Clarks Summit University (PA). The success as a player laid the groundwork for a coaching career that has seen 13 of Hobbs' players go on to collegiate careers and Hobbs himself receiving 'Coach of the Year' recognition four different times in three different states.
