Leaders Often Underestimate Their Impact

There's an old quote that says you will always make people happy. They will be happy to see you show or happy to see you go. The quote demonstrates the impact we have on people, particularly if you're a person that holds a position of influence. What so many people forget is that we all hold some position of influence. Father, mother, husband, wife, boss, manager, coach, or any other number of titles that uniquely influences those around us.

If you hold a position of influence, pay attention to themes in the attitudes and behaviors around you. The themes that drive you a little crazy are the ones that you should pay careful attention to. Negative? Disorganized? Frantic? Apathetic? I would challenge you to consider if you aren't actually the primary source of those things. Leader very often underestimate their impact.
